HOW TO STYLE A MONOCHROME LOOK

I’M WEARING  >>  Pants/Blouse: Stine Goya  |  Sneakers: New Balance  |  Belt: Off White  |  Bag: 3.1. Phillip Lim

I was saving this burgundy set for Fashion Week season last September, but since we launched SIWI App in August and things got pretty hectic at the office (between app development, design, meetings with investors, etc), I had to skip Fashion Week season all together, which meant I didn’t get to wear this number.

I am a huge fan of monochrome looks, even though they can be a little daunting sometimes. This head to toe look in burgundy is a perfect example that a monochrome looks will always work if you know how to accentuate it with the accessories. This set can be dressed up but I live in Amsterdam and I cycle everywhere so if I gotta be honest, I spend most of the time wearing sneakers (whenever I am not shooting). The “Dad” sneakers give the look a sportier vibe, while the waist belt makes it a little more chic and feminine (since the top is already quite oversized).

How do you feel about monochrome looks? Yay or nay
