SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE THE DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING WEEKEND

Landed in Amsterdam a couple of days ago and I am having such mixed feeling about it.

If you follow me on social media, you probably already know that we just spent a month in Mexico for our wedding and it truly was one of the most incredible months of my life.

As I was going through my phone on the plane, I realised that I have so many photos I dont want to leave on social media only and I remembered that even though I don’t post here much anymore, this was the place where I wanted those images to live as well.

Because our wedding was a destination wedding in San Miguel de Allende and we had half of our guests coming from abroad, we had events both on Friday and Saturday. We did keep the wedding small because we had to (covid restrictions), but in the end, having only 100 people was perfect as we were able to enjoy our guests more.

On Thursday 14th of October (the day before our wedding weekend) Arno and I spent some time greeting some of the Dutch guests that were arriving, but we also made time for the two of us alone, so we could really take it all in and enjoy the “calm before the storm”, good storm that is.
