RUNWAY-MYWAY: THE PRADA LOOK

I LOVE replicating looks from the Runway with things I can find in my closet, vintage stores or the high-street. Ideally only with things I already own, or things I can shop vintage as I am trying to be more sustainable for a while and only shop when I absolutely love an item.

I came up with the Runway-Myway concept on SS already 7 years ago and it’s so cool to see that even with current trends, it’s still completely doable to recreate looks so close to the runway look and for SO MUCH LESS.

I was planning on recreating this PRADA look since it hit the runway as it was one of my favourite looks form the show, but I waited until I found the right cashmere dress to go on top.

Initially, I was gonna go for a V neck but I decided to get a round neck instead, since I know that I would never re-wear a V-neck and I won’t buy a sweater just for the photo.

I’M WEARING >> SKIRT: MASSIMO DUTTI | BELT: ZARA | GREY SWEATER: VINTAGE | ORANGE TURTLE NECK: VINTAGE | BAG: GUCCI | SUNNIES: ZARA | SHOES: SEBASTIAN MILANO

In the end I mixed and matched a few vintage pieces, a couple designer items and a skirt I already owned to recreate this PRADA look. I wish I still had all the prices of everything so I could share how much the “real” look is in comparison to my version. I will keep that in mind for the next post tho!

  1. Beautiful outfit! And I love it how you still keep blogging, many other ex-bloggers are nowadays just instagrammers. I mean Instagram is fantastic, but nothing beats a good old blog post. <3

    1. Thanks for this nice message Anne! I feel like despite instagram being so popular etc, its still a platform controlled by facebook whereas this blog is my little home on the internet where I can really control my content and who sees it. Its my baby for 13 years <3

  2. This is such a cute look! I love the charcoal dress with the electric orange. It’s a color combo I’d never thought of, but now that I’ve seen both versions (yours and Prada’s), I kind of want to duplicate it (or triplicate it ,lol).

  3. There used to be this show, I think it was called Get the look or sth like that in which they would recreate a runaway look on budget. I loved watching that show. You did a great job recreating this look. The grey midi skirt you wore is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
