4 LOOKS TO START SUMMER ON THE RIGHT FOOT WITH HUDSONS BAY

Since I started StyleScrapbook, I’ve always been focussed on having the right mix between high and low, which means affordable pieces combined with ‘statement’ pieces. It’s rare to find a mix like that within one store though, thats why I am really excited that Hudsons Bay opened in Amsterdam. I’m not very familiar with them as a store in the US and Canada, but I’m a big fan of their buying in Holland, bringing more trendy and edgy brands that are often hard to find. Because of this, I reached out to them before heading to NYC as I thought it would be fun to style a few shoots showcasing some of my favourite brands they carry and share with you some styling ideas for this Spring Summer.

I will be the first to admit that I spend a little too much time every time I go to that store, but I just get far too distracted and end up leaving the place with a lot more stuff that I intended to buy. You cant blame me though, because their selection is pretty enormous but beyond that it’s pretty well curated. You can find everything from platform all star converse sneakers, to a chic pair of opening Ceremony patent boots. From the coolest denim brands to sexy and fun lingerie sets that I’m sure you haven’t been able to find anywhere else. If you’re planning a city trip, beach holiday or just getting some sun in the park, there’s everything under the sun to cater for every occasion, not to mention their ‘home’ and beauty section where you can be sure to lose track of time in!

I think the big success of a department store definitely lies in their buying and how well curated the collections are. I truly enjoy walking into a store where I can find items at every price range and where I know I won’t have to save for month to be able to but my favourite pieces and look great all year around.
