I have been searching for the perfect velvet shoes to wear this Autumn, but since there is too much selection out there I haven’t been able to make my mind up. I reckon velvet shoes will be one of the strongest trends in the upcoming season, so getting a pair that can be worn a lot more often could be the best choice -like ankle boots-. I am drooling over the Dries Van Noten pair but I can’t justify the “almost” 500 euro for a trend piece, luckily there are still other great choices on the high street.

I’ve had my eye on the Dries Van Notten ones forever. Love them, not in my budget but love them. I saw the Zara ones in person and they were okay, something about the heel I wasn’t a fan of.

I’m all for a velvet jacket, skirt, and even pants. But I never thought about shoes. They kind of have their charm. I’m loving the pair from ASOS.

I was reading your post and thinking that I never would use a velvet shoes, then I remembered one of my favorite shoes was a Melissa GUESS WHAT in Velvet lol It was red and so, so beautiful <3 My favorite was the pair from Zara :)

That’s the problem: too much selection! In almost everything. The Jil Sander ones, number 3, are great, although I’m not so sure about them for the rain ahah. The shoes from Topshop are really cool too. Xx, Regina **

I can see why you’re drooling over the Dries’ pair, but it would be wayyy above my paygrade. The Senso pair would make a great second, I love the lines; it has a bit of a Victorian feel to it, especially with the velvet fabric. Would be so much fun to play around with it in outfits!
