I’ve always had a thing for travelling, but lets face it, who doesn’t? It might sound cheesy, but I feel like traveling is one of the best ways to feed the soul, if you know what I mean. All those new places to see, all of those new experiences, all of the memories that no matter what, will become a part of who you are. The more I travel, the more I feel like hotels have become a second home and sometimes it does feel as if I was living off a suitcase. There is another side of traveling for me, a more personal one where I get to take some of my routines with me, just so I feel more “at home”.
I am collaborating with The Leading Hotels of the World to show you that “uncommon” side of travel for a lot of people, yet for me is something that has become quite a habit. I love exercising and I don’t feel myself if I don’t. I am a sporty girl and I have always been, so even when trips get a bit crazy and hectic, I always try to make time for a workout or a run.
I started my day with one of these remarkably uncommon travel experiences at The Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, which is just what I needed to press my reset button and get ready for my next trip. I had just gotten back from a hectic trip to New York and all I wanted was a good Pilates workout, a swim, relax in the sauna and a very well deserved massage.

Working out is probably the last thing people think about while traveling to Amsterdam or anywhere else for that matter, but you would be surprised of how much more energised you will feel after a good workout followed by an incredible massage. Uncommon, perhaps, but we all deserve a treat every now and then.

The Conservatorium Hotel Spa was such a dream to spend time on and it is definitely one of my favourite spots in Amsterdam, not just because of their Spa but also because of their Brasserie and if you ever make it there, please try their Kale risotto, you won’t regret it!

  1. Looks like an amazing place to say. A gym or a swimming pool is something I always look for in a hotel:)
I totally agree with you on travelling. Sometimes, I feel liked a learned a lot more by travelling to another country, than by spending my time in a library.
