BUCKLE UP

The watch of my dreams? Perhaps. I don’t know what it is with me and watches lately but I find so incredibly appealing to know that the right watch can be an accessory that can last you a lifetime.
In a recent trip to Mexico, I was going through an old box of antiques and my mom pulled out the most beautiful watch that used to belong to my great grandmother, which she inherited after. This watch from the Ferragamo Buckle collection reminded me of that moment with my Mom, bringing treasures from the past, thinking of how many times a loved one would have worn the watch, its all very exciting and intriguing. I am getting quite good at separating certain things in my closet for exactly this purpose, pieces that I know will age with me and that are not only extremely good quality, but that are also timeless styles…The Sunglasses on the other hand are exactly what I was looking for this Spring, with this whole 1970’s revival and I can’t wait to wear them with a pair of flared jeans and wavy hair.

Check out Ferragamo’s website to see the new Buckle collection! I was definitely swoon by this cool video.

  1. I can totally understand your obsession with watches. I just recently got a new Casio electronic, even though I already had one… My collection is growing and I adore spicing up my outfits with different watches. I still remember when you used to wear two watches at the same time!

  2. Interesting watch – looks like another I remember you wore that had a white face. Maybe the 2 would look cool together? With the warmer weather isn’t it time for you to sport multiples? :-)

  3. Really admire the fact you don’t give a s*** about what other people think when you put high heals and pants that make you look even taller! I kind of struggle with that because i’m 1.80 too and it´s manly because I’t gets on my nerves the way people stare at you and always feel the need to remind you how tall you are…as if you weren’t already aware!
Anyway, you look great! Check out my website when you have time! :)

    1. I struggled with this my whole childhood and teenage years dear. Being so tall and living in Mexico where the average height tends to be quite low, was a real struggle for me because I was always standing out, or at the back of the line at school, getting called names and so on. My mom always told me that one day I would be grateful for my height even if at the time I used to think it was the worst flaw. A few years later, I completely understand my moms words. People like to pick on people who are different because it makes them feel good about themselves. The people that used to call me names at school for being tall are surely the ones who wished they were tall as well. Life goes on and later you realise that some of the things you considered flaws are actually qualities.
I love the fact that I am so tall, despite some random comments of people with a complex. We are who we are and we have to accept ourselves in order to love ourselves. So screw what others think!

  4. These orange pants are incredible, the style is amazing and classic. They look perfect with the basic black top and the denim jacket put the casual touch, these sandals are really beautiful. Adore the Purificacion Garcia bag, it’s one of my favorites bags this season but in red. Tres chic!
