CUSTOM MADE

When Ferragamo asked me if I wanted to customise their iconic Vara shoe myself I got extremely excited. I went into the website and I started playing with all the colour combinations they had and I have to confess, it took me quite a bit of time to come up with a design that completely represented what I wanted to wear.

The crazy part is, when I initially saw this stripped fabric I thought to myself; “Thats not really me”, so I went and browsed all the colours they had in patent leather. “What about the black version with mint green bows? Yeah I could work with that!”, “Nope, thats too predictable for me”, “What about the black on black?!”, “Seriously? Black on black? Be creative!!!”
I went through every single colour combination, questioning my reasoning every single time until I went back to the one I didn’t even consider in the beginning; “You know what, I think I kind of like the stripped fabric one, actually I kind of really love it, it could be very edgy!”
I started playing with that one until I came to choose the heel: “Jeez! You can have a mirror heel too?! Yessss!”
And thats how I came up with this design…You can also customise your own Vara or Varina shoe on the Salvatore Ferragamo website but only until the end of January and sadly only across Europe. I am really curious with colour combination you end up designing yourself!

  1. Stunning shoes and perfectly built outfit around it! I definitely can’t afford a pair of Ferragamos, but I might just play with the design. Oh, and your mint bow idea is so cute too :)

  2. These are perfect! I am one of the most indecisive people ever, so I’d probably have to order 10 pairs in all the different colours and patterns that I like. I think me and my bank balance are going to fall out…
