SPLURGE – SAVE : THE FRANKIE SHOP JOGGER “SUIT” VS H&M MEN

Welcome to Splurge-Save; a space within Stylescrapbook where we scout the web for some of the best looks and their alternatives, so as the name suggest, you can decide whether you want to Splurge or Save ;)

Some of you might know The Frankie Shop for popularising the shoulder pad muscle tee since last Summer, but they recently added the “Winter version” with their jogger sets. What I love about these joggers sets and what sets them apart from me are obviously the almightily shoulder pads. I recently came across the new H&M Blank Staples collection for Men and it resembled a lot to the white version of TFS jogger suit.

Immediately my lightbulb went on and I decided to DIY my own version of the Frankie Shop jogger set with the H&M Men version, all I needed extra was a pair of shoulder pads, a needle and thread.

I just absolutely love the end result and to be honest, I think they look almost identical. You can of course still Splurge on The Frankie Shop set, however, if you want to Save, the H&M Blank Staples collection for men is the way to go.

I am quite tall so I took a Pants size M because I needed them to be long enough and I wanted a slightly baggy look. If you are a shorter than me, perhaps S or even XS (depending on your usual sizing) would do the trick. For the sweatshirt, I went for a size XS and bought a pair of shoulder pads to add that little pow wow into the shoulders.

Yo también soy mexicana en Países Bajos y me alegra el día ver tus posts/stories porque me siento super identificada algunas veces (excepto por tu problema con los pantalones cortos, a mí todos me quedan largos).

  9. Hola Andy! Se antoja muchísimo este conjunto! Platícanos después de la calidad, yo compré en marzo un juego similar pero de mujer en Hm… y se hizo horrible después de dos usadas/lavadas. Lo que me llama la atención es que la sudadera amarilla oversize de hombres que posteaste hace tiempo, esa sí sigue de maravilla, entonces mi conlcusión es que en HM hay que comprar la versión más cara de estos conjuntos. Bonito día!

    1. Lo padre de este set de hombre es que es de una collection especial y es 100% algodón, no tiene otra cosa y la calidad esta muchísimo mejor que los sets de mujer. Yo también tengo los pants de mujer y se me hicieron horribles pero esta colección es diferente. Checa el link que puse :)
