I have to be honest, writing this post is all kinds of surreal for me, I might even shed a tear or two while I’m typing….Flashback to a small girl called Andrea, growing up in Mexico and dreaming of one day becoming a designer. Flash forward to MANY years later and I am finally able to announced that I designed a Denim Capsule Collection for one of my absolute favourite Italian brands; SPORTMAX.

I know SPORTMAX from when I was a kid because my Mom used to have a couple of pieces from the brand. Wherever I used to play dress up, I would always “borrow” those pieces behind my Moms back and I even asked her if I could have them when I grew up. I have no idea where those ended up, but that fact that I am sharing that I designed a collection for this brand years later, is ABSOLUTELY surreal.

I wanted to design a timeless and chic collection, full of garments that trigger me to get creative when it comes to styling. It’s a curation of pieces that are absolute ‘must haves’ for me and that really represent my personal style but at the same time, I think would look good on everyone. I took inspiration from many of my absolute favourite pieces and remade them with new elements, to give them that extra ‘something something’.

My ABSOLUTE favorite piece or in this case pieces is the “70’s Denim Suit”. The combination of the ultra long bell bottom jeans with the long blazer make this suit THE STAR of the collection for me.
