I just recently spent one of those early Spring days in NYC styling and shooting a 7 For All Mankind campaign with photographer, Kevin Lu. I remember saving for my first pair of 7 For All Mankind denim back in the day, so working on a campaign with them was pretty surreal!
Wanting to keep each look simple yet special, I built two outfits around their Roxanne Ankle denim. I styled more “Go To” looks for day-to-day life, something that made me feel comfortable without compromising style. I chose the Roxanne jeans because of their quirky, asymmetric hems. I feel like they add something extra and make the look a bit more special. As most of you guys know, I basically spend my time traveling between Amsterdam and NYC, so my looks were very much inspired by my time on the East coast, where I am always on the go.
For the locations, I really wanted to shoot at some of my personal favourite spots in town to give you more of an insight into my world. You know I love music, obsessively and I am pretty much researching new music every chance I get. I spend a lot of time listening to music and I recently got a record player and started collecting old records so any advice on good places to buy records is highly appreciated!
Another favourite spot of mine is the little Bookmarc store on Bleecker street where you can get some amazing coffee table books and stationery. I can browse around that store for ages and then cross the street to buy my much needed sugar fix at Magnolia Bakery.
