I have spent quite a few hours in the past few weekends clearing out my closet and doing some sort of Spring clean out. What is interesting tho, is that most of the things I wanted to get rid of, I ended up wearing in the past few looks of the day, like this zebra T-shirt for example. I have this T-shirt since 2008 or 2009, I am not sure, all I know is that it was over exposed on the blog those years, I can assure you that. –here is a small flashback from 4 years ago

Every time I do clean ups in my closet, this T-shirt ends up on the safe zone. I am not sure why but I just cant get rid of it…Do you have items like these in your closet? Those who which no matter how long its been, you keep wearing and wouldn’t dare throwing away?

  1. Love the ability to mix and match all these pieces and make them look like they were intended by the designers to look the way they do on you!

  2. The mix of prints look bang-on! Its daring, but you make it work! Also love those reflective sunnies!Namratahttp://seasoncheck.blogspot.in

  3. Fantastic contrast of prints and lengths! And yes, I too have t-shirts and shoes that I've had since high school that I just can't throw away :PVeloria in velvetwww.veloriainvelvet.wordpress.com

  4. i can DEFINITELY relate to this & had to chuckle at the phrase "safe zone." i have items from MIDDLE SCHOOL that make the cut again & again. i say in this case with the zebra top, you should keep it. animal print is classic & black & white pairs with anything :)http://canadianinlosangeles.matadoru.com/

  5. I love the different heights in this look. The jacket is amazing along with the mixing of prints. So casual and cool.xoxohttp://www.thewrittenrunway.com

  6. I am so in love with your bag!I definitely have pieces that I never wear but just can't bring myself to get rid of. They're all stashed in the guest room closet of my house. They're mostly crazy cool thrift store finds that I could never bring myself to wear in public!www.deancorno.blogspot.com

  10. Clean outs are great that way, you always find something interesting. and I like your print-mixing, the zebra and leopard looks great as it is all in black and white.

  12. I thinks its a cool shirt, timeless. That always happens to me when cleaning my closet way too many items on the safe zone.Xx,www.casualuxe.blogspot.com

  13. There's a brown dress that I bought several years ago and I haven't worn ( I think it still has the tag on it) I can't give it up for some reason!

  14. I have mixed feeling about clean ups in my closet. I always end up giving away so much stuf and then I have to buy new ones (which is not exactly a good or a bad thing: It's both). And now, I really need to do one in my closet…Check out my latest post on The Citified: http://www.thecitified.comxoxo, Sara

  17. Ah so cute to see your post from 4 years ago :) Your style has evolved but it's nice to see you don't forget your wardrobe favourites!I actually have a little zebra tank top that my friend gave me 4 years ago and it also stays in the safe zone everytime I do a wardrobe clean out. Zebra must be a basic like leopard! Also loving the long coat. xoxoMSFYwww.mrgxpersonalshopper.webs.com
